As someone who listens to a lot of niche artists, I was upset, that not all albums were present in MusicBrainz. So I came up with a solution.

Meet Lidarr++Deemix!

https://github.com/ad-on-is/lidarr-deemix

This tool helps to enrich Lidarr, by providing a custom proxy, that hooks into the process without modifying Lidarr itself, and injects additional albums from deemix.

That looks like a cool addition. Did you test the compatibility with arr-scripts, which can download tracks from Deezer?

MusicBrainz is an open database and everyone can enrich their metadata. If you like a niche artist and their information is not complete, you can help other users by adding the missing albums to MusicBrainz.

you can help other users by adding the missing albums to MusicBrainz.

There's also userscripts to automate a lot of the process of importing data from Discogs into Musicbrainz. There's lots of niche/rare albums that are on Discogs but not on Musicbrainz.

I haven't had much success with the arr-scripts, whereas with the lidarr:plugins + deemix I had.

I did not test it, but It should work, since it only pulls the albums, and is not involved in the download process at all.

Oh, and checks for existing ones, so there are no duplicates.

Regarding enriching MB. Honestly, I don't have time for that.

I'm from one of the slavic countries and there are so many missing albums, it'd take me a lifetime to contribute.

Awesome, this is something I’ve wanted forever.

Okay, nice! But now the question is: Does this work with Lidarr on Steroids, so that it can use deemix for both metadata and downloading? ^^

Yes! It should work :-D

It does. I have it running on my machine, just add demix as the indexer and download client
