I did laugh at this meme, then but I came in here to make sure there was a warning.
Doing this is an awful way to spend a month in the hospital, get permanently disgusted, and possibly die.
Edit: disgusted --> disfigured, but I don't have the great to change the existing text
get permanently disgusted
Typos can be so entertaining.
Your upper lip will curl so much in a look of disgust that it falls off your face
And sadly, he doesn’t have the great

Pretty sure that oil is fairly cool as well, because the oil usually explodes out not just bubbles

You’re not my real dad, you don’t tell me what to do
But I am the CIA, and I know where you live jeff
I know this is a bad idea but I want to know parameters. Is ONE ice cube okay? Or say 2 ounces of ice, but not 3? How big could the splatter get? Could I make a party game out of putting a fryer in a driveway and having guests throw ice cubes at it?
Ice is more dense than oil, so it sinks to the bottom of the fryer. There it turns into liquid water anathema immediately into steam. This steam needs at least 1000 times more space than the ice cube (1700 times more than water under normal pressure) and blows all the oil out of the fryer. I would expect quite a fountain. In a science fair experiment 10ml of water in a cup of hot oil gave a considerable fireball and a splash zone of about 1.5m. Dropping in a piece of dry ice (solid carbon dioxide) just made a little bit of a fizzle.
I mean sure, if you want to give your friends 3rd degree burns. A single ice cube is gonna throw oil a few feet. Explosively.
source: worked at a KFC in high school with a dumb ass who put a coworker in the hospital by throwing some ice in the fryer
Zero ice cubes is the correct amount.
Sprinkle a few drops of water in hot oil, or even just on a oven burner. See how it pops? Now imagine a lot more suddenly going from ice to vapor. It's explosive, and some hot oil is going to be thrown out on anyone in range.
The splatter here isn't the issue anymore, it's that this amount of ice is going to bubble up so bad that the hot grease is basically gonna foam up and boil over, spilling hot grease all over the floor.
A couple of ice cubes will splatter. But how many to create this situation? I'm not really sure.
Some people want to watch the world splatter
Some people want to watch others suffer third degree burns
Don't put ice in a deep fryer unless you want to seriously burn yourself
Thank you CIA Chatbot.
For those that don't know, there's no oil in those fryers. Soap and water? Check. Probably some hefty degreaser. That's how you clean the fryers, and then cool off the water so it isn't boiling, and can be drained.
I'm cold, put me in there
The doctors at the emergency room and the burn victims hospital nurses/doctors: "Ok! Can you tell us how that happened?"
If the victims are still burning, you've taken them to the hospital too quickly. Please extinguish all open flames before the patient enters the building.
"I'm sorry, sir, but this has been a non-smoking location since '95. You're going to have to stop, drop, and roll for me before we can wheel you in."
"Nope, nope, not yet. I still see a couple of embers; get back down on the ground and keep rolling till you're fully extinguished."
Hahahaha! Just edited my comment. Thank you! 😁
Light a candle or smoke a cigarette for increased warmth.
This isn't enough. You need to throw a lit match in there as well.
This is the second time I've seen this joke in my feed
I just wanna watch the world burn
I prefer mine grilled!
