Comic Strips
Comic Strips is a community for those who love comic stories.
The rules are simple:
- The post can be a single image, an image gallery, or a link to a specific comic hosted on another site (the author's website, for instance).
- The comic must be a complete story.
- If it is an external link, it must be to a specific story, not to the root of the site.
- You may post comics from others or your own.
- If you are posting a comic of your own, a maximum of one per week is allowed (I know, your comics are great, but this rule helps avoid spam).
- The comic can be in any language, but if it's not in English, OP must include an English translation in the post's 'body' field (note: you don't need to select a specific language when posting a comic).
- Politeness.
- Adult content is not allowed. This community aims to be fun for people of all ages.

Oh I got the stone key to unlock this first fog door. It's in the tutorial area so it's got to be easy, right?
RIGHT?!
This reminds me I still haven't finished that one. How I hate those chariots.
I fuckin soloed Margot in the first ten hours. It's even an achievement on my Steam. They redid the cloud storage or some shit because there was a patch bug. I seriously no lifed it as it dropped got good armor set from Florida. I forget the zone. Beach and an annoying boss I used the wolf summons to beat.
The patch ERASED everything. I still have the achievement on my steam account. Emailed them. They can't do anything. Never played it again.
10 hours to margot is impressive for all the wrong reasons. I think I killed him first time around in under an hour.
Cool! Did you solo it? Most people co-oped it. I know I'm not an expert. But I def don't suck. Keep up the good vibes. But whole.
That one red area to the East of the starting area: ☠️
(I've forgotten all the map areas, haven't played in almost a year.)
Caelid, that rot filled land of magical bugs, tyranodoggies and death crows
Don't forget the rot swamp in the middle that tricks you into thinking you can bypass it on horse
Im really glad that I didn't play elden ring when it came out and the hype was real instead I got it at the right moment in my life and have been enjoying it over the winter like a fine wine.
A funny thing I just did was to try and get to the
spoiler
lift of rold to burn the tree or whatever
Needless to say, I got all the way down to that
spoiler
naturalborn of the void space insect thing and murked it
good old fashon sword and shield and health potions until it dies or I die.
I'm the same way. No tricks, no fancy shit. Just manfight until I get good enough to beat them.
Right, need to play it sometime. Does it work on wine?
Not sure if it works on wine but it works on proton. Source : me, I played elden ring two days ago on steam. Even the multiplayer online component which uses EAC works.
Thanks mate.
You were in danger, now you are in Valhalla
Man I keep hearing people talk about Valhalla and Valheim. I need to check this shit out.
You just reminded me there's a Valheim VR mod I wanted to check out!
So cool. Definitely checking this out.
What's that mosquito-looking thing flying towards me...?
You Died!
Trying to get to New Vegas by going north from Goodsprings:
It's just a giant bee thing, how much damage could it possibly do?
"What the hell does woozy mean?"
So we all tried this our first time, right?
and we all died to cazadors 5 times, and to deathclaws 30 times, and then succeeded in slipping past them, right?
Cazadors are worse than deathclaws and I will die on that hill. In fact I did in that hill outside of Goodsprings more often than I care to count because those fuckers keep killing you even after they're dead.
I just boink boink boinked past everything. My brother actually got mad at me for not playing the game "as it supposed to be played".
They said Vegas so I went to Vegas!
Me in valheim entering plains
Me the first time I played Skyrim and 10 minutes in, found the giants. I was launched into orbit
It may be unpopular opinion, but I prefer this mechanic than enemies scaling their level with you. This is also why I love older Piranha Bytes titles (Gothic 1, 2 and Risen), as beating tough enemies that you encountered many times and couldn't beat before because you had previously weak character is the best thing ever.
IMO it depends on the game.
I can tell the strength difference between a Rando Bandit and a Decently Equipped Bandit.
Or a Rando Bandit and a Giant Ass Monster.
But this is obviously not the case for Rando Bandit and Rando Bandit, when somehow the latter is stronger because they stay on the other side of the forest.
I just hate this kind of areal difficulty scaling because there isn't much visual cue provided.
Being able to oneshot enemies who previously gave you trouble is also a great feeling, specially with aoe attacks.
A shame the suits only care about engagement metrics, we have to feel "challenged" at every moment
Only time it feels bad is when the game doesn't give you enough levels/xp by just doing the story missions. Don't make me do some checklist gaming side quests just so i don't get one shot in the next area.
This is one of my biggest peeves in games. Ass Creed Valhalla was really bad about it. Identical looking dudes on opposite sides of a river. One set are pushovers the others are completely lethal. Hate it.
Playing Baldur's Gate and D&D made this a little confusing, since 350 HP in either game is boss tier.
I was playing through the Minecraft twilight forest mod and i decided to go kill the lich first, i was wondering why i couldnt damage it at all, turns out the mod has a progression and in areas you havent unlocked you can't damage anything, i went and killed the naga and was able to do it
That sounds like a pretty shitty way of implementing a progression system, but I suppose Minecraft mods aren't known for their great game design.
angry modded minecraft player noises

Listen, we can't all be Sid Meier or Edmund McMillan. Some of us are just a 14 year old who's learning Java for the first time. Doesn't mean it isn't fun.
Eh, it's usually doable if you can survive one hit. Not that it's recommended, or usually any fun, but doable. If they one hit you so hard that it feels like a nuke hitting a fly, that's when you nope out and don't try to return for a good while.
This is just my normal highest difficulty setting experience. If I can do decent damage against the enemy, I can make it work.
Someone link that Sekiro video of a guy getting juggled by arrows to the tune of "Mr. Blue Sky."
