Cross posting from r/PcBuild, since I haven’t got any answers.
I've decided to squeeze MSI 4090 Gaming X Slim into Corsair 2000D case. The card itself fits perfectly but during the test fit I've noticed, that I won't be able to fit the Nvidia 12VHPWR adapter with closed side panel without bending it a lot. I think I've done enough research about what makes the 12VHPWR melt sometimes (ended with Gamer Nexus series about this problem), so even somehow I would bend it enough to fit in the case I wouldn't feel safe with it.
So I'm looking for a 180 deg adapter that will do the trick for me. My firs thought was CableMod, but both 1.0 and 1.1 were recalled due to melting hazard... Even if I would like to give it a try is not available anymore. My second thought was Corsair and it's PCIe 5.0 12VHPWR GPU Power Bridge but looks like it won't be compatible with my GPU (the compatibility list is a mess but I've asked on r/Corsair and got info it won't work. Just to prove that I will be able to squeeze the adapter itself, just for now I've ordered this CERRXIAN 12VHPWR adapter from Amazon, but since kind of no-name brand I will hesitate to run it long term.
Is there any other adapter form reputable brand (if possible) that anyone can recommend? Or maybe I shouldn't worry about the CERRXIAN adapter I've ordered and just use it? All tips and recommendations will be appreciated.
Why not a dedicated PSU cable with 90 degree plug? Because I will also have 360 mm AIO very close to it the 90 degree adapter/cable is not a solution for me either. I know that the "easy" solution would be to pick up a bigger case or maybe 280mm AIO instead of 360 to make room for a angled cable but I would strongly prefer to keep them both
