I'm also hoping people will stay behind the crosswalk instead of slowly inching forward until, I kid you not, they are literally in the intersection with their back tire over the second line.
I find absolutely baffling that the red signal, the signal made specifically to mean stop, the stop signal, can allow traffic to go through it. If you really need to let cars to go through, just add another traffic light for conversions
Welp, you guys won again. The city just installed a no right on red sign on my closest intersection. 🤪
1000 cuts +1. Interestingly, that intersection was the one I had my closest call with a pedestrian. She blasted off the curb on a scooter full speed perpendicular to the flow of traffic. It was the incident that got me to buy dashcams for my car and family. No one was hurt because I was driving safe.
The no right on red wouldn't have prevented that accident.
