Normal people: Serling. Although it’s often understandably confused with β€˜Sterling’ as that’s a more familiar word and sounds very similar.

Idiots: No, no, no, I am from a parallel universe.

If I came from a parallel universe and the only difference is an easily mistaken spelling of a name I'd be quite disappointed.

Is it actually a Mandela Effect if you've just forgotten what a guy's name is? I always thought it was more about mass confabulations.

[–] [email protected] 11 points 11 months ago

I don't even know the guys name.

But yeah, Mandela effect is everyone believing something that differs from reality. Like Berenstain Bears being remembered as Berenstein.

Jordan Peele?

I mean Serling and Sterling are so close it seems stupid to me to call it Mandela effect. More like humans gonna human.

Woodhouse is actually the one who narrated Twilight Zone, although Archer would sometimes make guest appearances. I think OP is trying to say that nobody will remember that.

Rod Serling? Answering before I read comments.

rod serling?

Yes, my first thought was Rod Sterling, but also I've been corrected on how to say his name my entire life.

Was it Jonathan Frakes?

No wait, that was "the spooky door"

[–] xmunk 1 points 11 months ago

It's a common misconception but Jonathan Frakes was actually best known for "the Riker manuever" where you swing your leg over the back of the chair before sitting down.
