& I’m doing pretty good! The wefwef app has done a great job of recreating the Apollo experience and has made it a lot easier to not want to go and download the Reddit app. The more active it gets here, the easier it’ll be. How are you guys doing so far? Have you found an App for Lemmy that you prefer the most yet?

I've been here since June 12th, and I'm really liking it. I often sorted Reddit by rising, and this place feels like that experience: posts with fewer comments, so it seems like my comment might not get lost in the deluge.

The only thing I miss is that there were so many people in Reddit that you could post some obscure thing and there'd always be an expert on it. "I did my PhD thesis on the mating cycle of gnats, so I can explain what's going on there..."

I think this place will get there though, and there are some real advantages to a smaller population, as long as there's critical mass.

Yeah I’m to looking forward to comment “this guy mates☝🏼” as a reply to some nerd :)

One thing I can agree on is that a lot of the niche stuff I used to care about is a lot less prevalent here. That being said, the community in general is so good that even the ‘big’ Lemmy communities are as welcoming as the niche ones on Reddit.
