Stuff like this and the "base" he has created give off pretty harsh trump vibes. Here is a link confirming for those wanting one. Sorry I did not include it originally. https://www.cbc.ca/amp/1.712106

It took 5 fucking seconds.

When finding the source is that easy, I think it's fair to assume that you didn't really care about getting a source and/or having a discussion in good faith.

Yes, I think the rule should be that before you ask, you do a quick search and post it yourself if you find it. If it's a bad source you're still allowed to call it out in there, though.

post it yourself if you find it. If it's a bad source you're still allowed to call it out in there, though.

Asking an OP for their source on a topic is preferable to finding a bad source and assuming that's what a OP used (when they had a good one) and chastising them for it.

You ask if it's the one if all you can find is a single bad source.

If we rely on commenters to come up with sources, this is going to become a shitty meme community that's used to spread misinformation (either purposefully or accidentally). This is what I'm hoping to avoid.

Thanks to you and OP for posting an article.

I wasn't actually able to find (in a few mins of searching) an article with an actual quote (yours doesn't have it either), so that's why I didn't share one.

It shouldn't matter how easy it is. The burden of proof is on the person making the claim. If anything, it means it should have been really easy for OP to provide a source instead of outsourcing that to everyone else.
