I really need an eli5 for this fediverse thing. I'm here using Jerboa, logged in to lemmy.world. when I try and comment or vote on content on other instances, like lemmy.ml, I'm told I have to log in. Is that a Jerboa bug? Or do I really need an account on each instance to interact?

The iOS app mlem seems to be limited in this capacity as well. But the website is really good on movile, especially if you save a bookmark to the home screen. It feels almost like a native app.

I'm using both a mobile browser and Jerboa side by side ATM. You can still access other Lemmy instances from the web browser logged in from the Lemmy.world website. Just select all or search all to see other instances pop up. This seems more consistent at the moment. I'm using Graphene/Vanadium, YRMV. The browser seems more consistent than Jerboa for me. I have had less time outs, no weird post overlaps with old/new thread content mixed, and I can see upvotes on my first post.
