Well, now it all makes sense. The recent trend in AI with ChatGPT, the attempts to convince lawmakers of the necessity of licenses for AI development, and now Reddit's absurd api lockdown were much too close together to not be related.
I'm curious about the ease of gathering training data from Lemmy's federation feature, where much of the updates in an instance are sent to known instances.
The next few months will be quite interesting.
