Two analog sticks are a good improvement. That's my main gripe with the original. That said I don't know how I feel about this one. It looks like they took the two sides of the steam deck and mashed them together. I don't know if that works in a controller format.
I've seen people specifically request that they do exactly that.
That's exactly what I've been wanting since the steam deck came out
