For me it's been communities like /r/buildapc, /r/buildapcforme, /r/buildapcsales, /r/gamedeals, and /r/consoledeals have been useful throughout the years.

I really like changing my wallpapers, so something for mobile wallpapers. Also, I really enjoyed r/

whatisthisthing for wacky things people found

askdocs and legaladvice for advise on when to seek professional assistance

askreddit (which I see some posts, along with AMA-type things on c/chats)

YouShouldKnow and LifeProTips

Outoftheloop to ask questions for summaries (e.g., Why is everyone talking about Johnny Depp?)

For an askreddit replacement there is an asklemmy community on the lemmy.ml instance [email protected]

Honestly though I hope it doesn't become too much like askreddit. That sub got increasingly repetitive with it's questions (i guess there's only so many questions to ask internet strangers though)

I agree that sub (like most) got repetitive and seemed to engage people on an increasingly superficial level. I guess I would prefer more thoughtful or engaging topics. I did check out the ask Lemmy community and will use that for now.
