I've seen more articles about this game than any other and haven't heard of a si gle person in my office of gamers or my gamer friends talking about it.
Nothing in the advertising looked even a little appealing.
Why is this game getting so much buzz from Lemmy and this website rockpapershotgun?
As for the Lemmy aspect, this sub is often just a bot auto-posting articles from popular news sources on gaming. So if it's from this community it might not actually be real buzz on Lemmy.
I bet it's money.
I can personally say that I got super excited by the new release from the Ori devs at first, though later became disinterested because the game is so different. The Ori games weren't obscure by any means, so I am not surprised other people got excited too.
