Assuming I can get my hands on one, I want to go for the Q58 since it allows for an ATX psu, I thought I’d reuse my EVGA 550 B5 (150 mm long) CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 w/stock cooler Motherboard: either ASRock 520M-ITX/AC AM4 or Gigabyte A520I AC GPU: EVGA RTX 3060 XC Two sticks DDR4 at 8 gigs each 1 NVME and 1 SATA ssd

ITX sized PCs seem perfect for limited space in my dorm room, and I’m hoping I can make this work. Any help is appreciated!

I'm coming from a PC I built in 2015 and currently looking to build a new SFFPC. I was having problems with my current PC and decided to go ahead and build a new one. I only use it for web browsing, youtube, and gaming. Only game I currently play on it is LoL, but I would like to play games like Hogwarts Legacy, BG3, RDR2, and future releases like Elder Scrolls 6, Dragon's Dogma 2, the Riot RPG, etc. I just want to be able to play games in the future without worrying if I can run them.

I tend to not upgrade major components and will upgrade the entire PC after 8+ years or when I can't run games I'd like to play, but I might change the GPU in a couple of years after reading how great the X3D CPUs are for gaming. This is the current 1440p AM5 build I'm currently looking at () and I would like some input regarding my choices. Wasn't sure which to pick between the Asrock B650i and Asus B650e-i, and the Flare X5 wasn't on either of the Memory QVL list. Also, wasn't sure on which 7800XT to get or if I should go Nvidia as I hear they are more power efficient as electricity here is $.33/kWh. The other build option I was looking at was going AM4 5700X3D, Asrock B550i, and Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB with the rest of the same components. I would also need to get a 27" 1440p 144hz(or higher) monitor, but I'll be looking that up some other time as I could use my 4k TV for now for couch gaming.

Since this is only my second build, I'm not to knowledgeable when it comes to messing with the BIOS, all I did with my first build was plug and play without changing anything. If there are any recommendations on BIOS settings or which BIOS version to use I would greatly appreciate it.

You will need to 3D print a new pump cap or otherwise deal with the ugly white LED PCB.

I designed two variants, one is a more traditional cap, the other is a replacement for the LED board. Both fit under the side panel, but I found the cap introduced some strange acoustics that didn't sit right with me. Check them out and let me know what you think!

So I have decided to go with the FormD T1 and modultra LOBO for my next build. This will be my first custom loop. I have built in CMR NR 200 and NZXT h1 v2 earlier but only with AIOs for CPU.

I don't want to use an AIO. I have looked at ZMT tubing from EK but there seem to be three different sizes and I am not sure which one to get. Also I don't know how many or what fittings I would need.

Things I already know I need:

  1. An EK ddc pump for the LOBO.

  2. An external reservoir and pump for filling the loop. Not sure what brand.

  3. A 20mm thin radiator

  4. Some kind of quick disconnect assembly for filling the loop with an external pump and reservoir.

I will be transferring my old parts for now from my current build in the NZXT h1 v2 which has a arctic liquid freezer 2 240 for 5800x3d and a stock 3080.

Hello! I recently posted about my planned transplant into a terra, but due to availability of am4 motherboards in my country I’m considering biting the bullet and upgrading to am5. Any insight into compatibility appreciated.

I’m mainly concerned about the cooler, I’m planning a Thermalright axp-90 x53 full copper but I’m worried about clearance with my graphics card. This was already answered in my previous post but repeating it here in case anyone actually has tried to fit my exact (card asus 3070 dual oc).

Also wondering if the axp90-53 will be sufficient for my new cpu?

All insight appreciated!

Parts list here:

CPU: Ryzen 5 7600x. Cooler: axp-90 x53 full copper. Mobo: Asrock b650i lightning. Gpu: asus rtx 3070 dual oc. Ram: Corsair vengeance ddr5-6000 (2x16). Psu: Corsair sf750.

So, I am really up for a change to lift the worlspace a little. Got a good 3D printer so I want to DIY it :)

I got a mATX mother board and ATX psu. BeQuit CPU cooler and Nvidia 1660+ GPU.

Nothing over the top but it works for me.

So, does anyone have any good advice for me? :D I first thought about going on open case-idea but after seeing all the cool builds in here and other places I want to do something more advanced!

Was able to squeeze my PC of a couple years into 5 liters of goodness. i7-10700f, EVGA 3060ti XC, 16gb 2400mHz ram, ASRock B460m ITX mobo, 1tb intel NVME, and a 500w HDPLEX psu.

Monitor is an Alienware AW3423DWF. 1440x3440p, 165hz of Quantum Dot OLED bliss. Still need to get a more mobile screen if I ever decide to travel with my rig. Amazed at how well my rig pushes it in my favorite games. ~450fps in Rocket League, ~250fps in BeamNG Drive, ~120fps in Warzone, and frame cap in Elden Ring (Mid - High settings for all).

I cap my fans at about 55% speed so the CPU will clock down to about 4.0 Ghz in multi core games from thermal limits, (all core max is 4.6) but is still enough to keep up with the 3060ti in the games I play. Payoff is amazingly quiet for being so small, GPU never gets over 80°C even with totally stock clocks and power.

Happy Gaming!

What are some good budget air coolers for the Corsair 2000D case around $70 dollars? Max CPU Height on the case is 160mm but some say it's like 165mm
