Had a bit of a search about and couldn't find an answer.

Has anyone had a go seeing if a matx board will fit the 2000d without the PSU frame? It looks like it might fit tight against the back panel.

I'm looking at downsizing my setup from a 011 mini before I move and want a more travel friendly vertical case. Everything else I have will fit without issue except the mobo and am4 itx boards are stupidly priced in Australia atm so I don't mind a temporary jank build.

Long story short, I’m very intrigued by this case and seen quite a few people commenting having one but never uploaded any pictures of their build. If you have some old pictures, or you are still rocking one, here is your queue!

Always been into rgb but got tired of the same big fish tank-look. First/recent SFF build and just added the last touches to an already rgb-crazed build; 2 lian li p28 add on fan-side strips inside the case where some color was needed.

Already had two 120mm unifans ziptied underneath as "feet" but only hooked up the rgb's and not the fan power itself lol.

  • 7800X3d pbo -30 (temps idle/load 41/66)
  • Gigabyte 3080Ti OC @ 850mv/1900mhz (temps 32/70)
  • Corsair Capellix 280mm Aio, set as front intake (also have slim 120 top fan exhaust)
  • MSI Edge B650
  • Dominator DDR5 6000 32gb
  • CM V850 sfx

I'm putting a media centre / console game machine together for my living room to primarily play games but also sometimes watch movies / tv.

Part of this process will be upgrading my desktop GPU so that's available for this build as well - Asus ROG STRIX GAMING OC V2 GeForce RTX 3060 Ti LHR 8 GB Video Card.

That being the case, i'm restricted by the GPU and have done some research, looked at the SFF PC Master List spreadsheet and put the following together. This is my second build and would be great to get a sanity check if possible.

Build on PC Part Picker

Questions

  • I believe the 78003D is quite optimised so didn't go too crazy with cooling, is this ok?
  • I wanted to get the smallest case size for the build and couldn't find anything else on the spreadhseet that suited outside of the Q58, if i'm missing something here would there be any other cases to suggest?
  • Overall is this an ok build? I haven't worked with a smaller case size so want to make sure i'm not getting in to deep before I commit

Hi friends 🙏 Since spending far too much time on YouTube over Christmas and catching the SFF bug, I’ve been dead set on speccing a new gaming build in a Fractal Ridge. The thermals concern me.

With the practicalities and inherent setbacks of the case in mind I specced my first ITX build, including Ryzen 7600X on a B650 board. The plan was to try a Noctua L12S, keep the two 140 case fans up top, and run a 4070, or 6800 or 7800 XT depending on what I can find used.

I’ve since semi-fallen in love with the simplicity and convenience of an NR200P Max, and I’d love to know your thoughts on that vs the Ridge. I’ve had a 240mm AIO in my full-size build for years, and it’s always been fantastic. My thoughts are to try two 120x15 fans in the floor to encourage some airflow, if necessary, and otherwise build it as-is.

I’m sure common sense and lots of YouTube testing tells us the Cooler Master is capable of strikingly low and stable temps all things considered, but I just can’t quite shake the allure of the Ridge case’s aesthetic.

Compromises, compromises. As a gaming build my only concerns are noise and thermals. Any thoughts at all? Has anyone built in both? Thanks for your time.

Edit: I’m new to Reddit and have probably done the flair bit wrong, sorry.

I intend on building my first SFFPC soon. I travel a lot, typically via train, and as part of the setup, I want to bring a 24 inch monitor with me, mostly for gaming, but also some office work. I already have a gaming laptop, and that doesn't cut it for me for multiple reasons.

I am very aware of all the alternatives (portable 15.6 to 18.5 inch screens, "renting" a monitor, buying then returning, all that) - my only interest is buying a lightweight 24 inch gaming monitor, possibly panel only and bringing that with me in a suitcase.

Does anyone use or know of any particularly light 24 inch (1080p, 144hz+) panels?

Anyone currently travel with a 24 inch (approx) monitor, if yes, how is it working out for you? Thanks

I was saving up to buy this case, but saw they just completely sold out. Does anyone know where people are reselling them? Haven’t had any luck on ebay. If not, what’s a similar case that has nearly the same dimensions?

I heard that this board doesn't have any ARGB headers but can I connect a Corsair Lighting Node CORE hub to it?

So, the Thor Zone Nanoq is just around the corner. I was wondering, you were to build a custom loop in that case, would you place a reservoir on the top, GPU side or Somewhere else? Alternatively, would you rather go with one of those Pump-block combos?

I'd been trying to find one of these for a while now and saw a few other people were as well. I saw a few people go through Chinese retailers but I kept hoping it would be available soon to avoid the headache and extra cost. Sure enough I just saw it on Newegg for $35. Figured I'd share for anyone else looking. Not sure if it's available worldwide yet or when other retailers will start selling it.

Hi!

I'm planning a build for my girlfriend and could use some help as I've never built a small form factor system before.

This pc will be used for light browsing, no gaming or other intensive tasks will be done on this PC.

She prefers minimalist designs and also likes (tinted) glass side panels. At first I was thinking of building a mATX PC and she really liked the look of the fractal pop silent cases but they were a bit big.

Now I've stumbled upon the Jonsbo A4 which seems a nice option. Other case recommendations are welcome!

For CPU I'll be using the i3 12100 with integrated graphics, there will be no dedicated GPU.

Which motherboard would you recommend for this CPU? I've seen some H610I boards like the one from Gigabyte. Wifi would be nice to have though if the price doesn't jump substantially.
