I have trouble with a metallic thread. Superior Threads japanese brand wt40. Upper thread already set to no 1 tightness. Machine is Singer Legacy
Any suggestion appreciated.

I added some sock stop dots on the bottom to make them less slippery. They're definitely too warm for summer though, I will probably end up making a linen or cotton pair to wear in warmer weather. I'm also going to experiment with thick/rigid interfacing for the soles so they're not as floppy.
