Rules: (Click to expand)

1. Be Civil.

Users are expected to be civil and inclusive towards one another at all times. Remember the person on the other side of the screen. Hate speech, racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia and other inflammatory language is prohibited.

2. Keep content related to wrestling.

Any content posted should at least be related to pro wrestling somehow.

3. Spoilers.

Do not spoil events for people. If an event is going on, please keep discussion contained to the/a discussion thread for 24h after the event. Do not post spoilers in titles during this period. Use the spoiler function when you need to, it's there for a reason. Should your post involve a url to a spoiler (Twitter, YouTube video, etc) please mark the thread as NSFW as well so thumbnails are blurred.

4. Vague/Editorialized Title.

Please keep the titles of any articles you post clear, understandable, and indicative of what the article states within. It's ok to alter the title if the original is clickbait and confusing, or contains a spoiler like a debut that just occurred that day, but do not add your own thoughts to it.

5. Sexualized Content/'Plot'.

Please do not post any pornographic, 'creep shot', or similar adult-related material to the community (regardless of connection to wrestling). Wrestling content that involves sexualized content (in storylines/matches/promos) is fine, as well as photo's wrestlers post to their own social medias. Butt-shots you take with your cell phone at a house show aren't.

6. Banned Source(s).

Due not necessarily to the content of their reporting, but to their harassing and doxxing of users, the following news sources, journalists, and content creators are not permitted to be posted on SquaredCircle in any context - including direct links, articles, social media, and reports that cite only those sources:

  • WrestleVotes
  • RingSideNews
  • Brad Shepard

  • Adam Cole vs. MJF—The most tiresome, convoluted story line of the year (and the year before that). Technically, we’re not supposed to nominate it until it’s concluded, but we expect 2027 to have a pretty crowded field as it is.

  • Jimmy Uso vs. Jey Uso—After 3+ years of build, the brothers finally face off at WrestleMania… and totally stink up the joint. Cinema.

  • Crown Jewel titles—Belts so prestigious, the champions don’t even get to wear them!

  • The Elite take over, show the All In footage—The Young Bucks’ hostile takeover of AEW fizzled out completely, but not before relitigating their feud with the long-gone CM Punk. It seems the temptation of showing an AEW guy losing a fight to a WWE guy—wait, losing? And they still aired it? Anyway, the temptation proved too great to resist.

  • The Wyatt Sicks—The late Bray Wyatt’s puppets finally came to life. Their first order of business? Murder Chad Gable. (He was fine)

  • Mercedes Moné and Kamille—“Huge waste of Moné” is far too obvious a joke to use here, so we won’t.

  • The Rock’s WrestleMania meddling—Dwayne Johnson joins WWE’s Board, and Cody Rhodes (suddenly the stupidest wrestler alive) just hands him his WrestleMania title shot. In the end, Rocky had to settle for pinning the future champ in the Night One main event.

  • The System at the Hardy Compound—Broken Matt Hardy’s latest outing saw the Hardy Compound turn into a real animal house! There was a werewolf, a Moose, a dead horse…Plus, his wife chopped off a woman’s head.

  • The Learning Tree—Chris Jericho’s latest persona has divided AEW fans—those in attendance chant, “Please retire”, while everyone else just changes the channel.

  • CM Punk’s friendship bracelet (Punk: “It’s not really about the bracelet…”, WWE: “Oh, yes it is!”)

Make sure to go vote!

“First, I’ll give you an update on the show. It’s bad and good. The bad is, basically the truck I was driving went off a cliff. The metaphorical truck, I’m fine. The company I was trying to work with, not the distributor, but the wrestling company I wanted to work with, we just couldn’t come up with a deal. So, I’m literally a dude with a tv deal without a promotion. The only promotion I want to buy is probably a little bit too big, I don’t know if it is. I would basically have to buy an existing company and bring them to the table and then produce the show there under the rules of whatever those rules would be. It may not be a 52 week a year promotion, it may be a 32 week a year promotion, it may be a 22 week a year promotion. Some of these shows only want ten episodes. So if it’s only something like that where it would be ten episodes, it’s not worth me buying an expensive promotion because I can’t recuperate enough of the money for me or for my investors. It would have to be a minimum of probably 30 to 40 episodes a year and then if that money was right per episode where I felt like I could make my money back and if I had investors making their money based on the promises that had to be made, then yeah, for sure, I would be all in. But if I can’t, then I won’t, because I’m not gonna lose people’s money and I’m not gonna throw my money away either. I’m in a, not in a holding pattern, but I have to turn this truck in a different direction because off the cliff is not going to do it. There’s a wrestler on the Sam Roberts show that spoke a little bit about a project he was working on which was my project, so I’ve already had to change directions more than once.”

After putting over Karrion Kross, Prinze continued on and said that he doesn't plan on quitting or giving up on his dream yet.

“So yeah, I have to change directions again, which is really frustrating as an artist when you feel you have a clear vision and it gets — Sometimes it makes you want to quit, it sometimes strengthens you and makes you say I’ll show everybody, sometimes it makes you change course and adjust, but no matter what it is, it’s a dramatic feeling and you have to take your time with it, you have to approach these things slowly and logically. Not emotionally, not quickly, not in a reactive manner. That’s what’s gotten me this far in life and that’s what I’m gonna maintain doing. So, I’m not giving up, I’m not quitting, it didn’t break me, but I definitely have to adjust course in order to pull this off. Who knows, I might buy something out there that you guys are all familiar with and find a home for it and sell the shit out of it and try to help make it big. If not, I’ll build my own thing from scratch and do it the slow way, establish it, and sell it.”

"One of the lines Advocate Kev says to Team-Moné on our various trips is: 'We're gonna make history...AGAIN!' Though I have nerves and butterflies for all my big matches, my match at the Tokyo Dome against Mina was somehow different. From the moment I landed in Japan, where I actually bawled my eyes out with both disbelief and gratitude, to the morning of the event, where I had an actual panic attack, making history was the last thing on my mind. Kev could see my condition on the bus ride and asked: 'Are you nervous or just excited?' I replied, 'Both.' Truly, it was my lifelong dream to have a match at this level at the Tokyo Dome, so I was beyond excited. Along with the rich wrestling history, I feel as though, in some strange way, Japan, like Mexico, is another home. Yet, for all my joy, I was likewise petrified. I didn't want to let the promoters down. I didn't want to let the fans down. I didn't want to let Mina down. I especially, and as always, didn't want to let the women wrestlers of today AND tomorrow down. I want New Japan, and all promotions, globally, for that matter, to know that we female athletes deserve prominent recognition and a prominent place on the card."

Mone continued on and praised Shirakawa for executing everything in the match flawlessly.

"Mina came at me with full force, and let me tell you, I'm still feeling the impact days later. But I have to admit, there's something I love about pro wrestling when it's done right—like how Mina executed everything flawlessly, managing to keep it safe even when it stings. And let me tell you why else I love Mina. I remember meeting her a few years back when she was in her early 30s. At that time, she was new to our craft and shared her great passion for wrestling with me and wanting to wrestle in the U.S., but she had concerns about her age. She honestly seemed to feel like it was too late for her. I do remember assuring her nothing could be further from the truth. Side note and lesson for all of you, your friends, and your children: it's never too late for any of us, as Mina proved. And you heard it here from the CEO: you have not seen the last of this girl. She is another superstar on the rise, and I couldn't be prouder to know her and to have competed against her."

WWE AND COSM ANNOUNCE MULTI- YEAR PARTNERSHIP TO DELIVER PREMIUM LIVE EVENTS IN SHARED REALITY

New Partnership Transports Fans Ringside to Experience Live WWE Action in a Completely New Way at Cosm’s Venues in Los Angeles and Dallas

Tickets on Sale Now at Cosm.com for Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber

January 9, 2025 – WWE, part of TKO Group Holdings (NYSE: TKO), and Cosm, a leading immersive technology, media and entertainment company, today announced a multi-year partnership that will see WWE Premium Live Events – such as WrestleMania, SummerSlam and Royal Rumble – delivered to fans in Shared Reality at Cosm’s experiential venues in Los Angeles and Dallas.

Fans attending WWE events at Cosm’s venues will be transported ringside to arenas and stadiums around the world, providing them with a front row seat to WWE Premium Live Events and putting them inside the action alongside fellow passionate WWE fans, starting with Royal Rumble at Cosm Dallas on Saturday, February 1, 2025.

Cosm’s experiential venues in Los Angeles (Hollywood Park) and Dallas (Grandscape) – both major hotspots for WWE fans and previous WrestleMania host cities – feature large-scale 87-foot-diameter 12K+ LED domes that bridge the virtual and physical worlds by merging state-of-the-art visuals with the energy and atmosphere of the crowd alongside an elevated food and beverage service.

“At Cosm, we bring fans together to experience the biggest and best events in the world, wherever those events may be taking place,” said Peter Murphy, Senior Vice President of Media and Content, Cosm. “Now, we get to showcase the WWE in Shared Reality, delivering another incredible way for fans to experience their shared passion.”

“Cosm is redefining the future of fan experience,” said Alex Varga, Co-Head of Revenue, WWE. “WWE Premium Live Events are larger than life, and with such an innovative partner in Cosm, we will collectively bring the energy of our biggest moments to an expanded WWE universe.”

The addition of WWE Premium Live Events adds to Cosm’s extensive slate of live sports and entertainment programming, which continues to expand through official partnerships with the NBA, UFC, NFL, ESPN, NBC Sports, TNT Sports, FOX Sports, Prime Video, CBS Sports, and more.

Cosm opened doors to its first venue in Los Angeles at Hollywood Park, adjacent to SoFi Stadium, in July 2024, and its second venue in Dallas at The Colony’s Grandscape in August 2024. The company last year announced its third location will be in downtown Atlanta’s Centennial Yards and its fourth venue will be located in downtown Detroit, adjacent to Campus Martius.

Tickets for Royal Rumble (Saturday, February 1) and Elimination Chamber (Saturday, March 1) can be purchased immediately at Cosm.com or via Cosm’s fully integrated app, which is available in the App Store and on the Google Play Store.

Ticketing information for WrestleMania 41 (April 19-20, 2025) will be announced at a later date.
